A new take on glamorous fashion during the 1980s is something we’ve all grown accustomed to seeing at every single one of Milan’s Fashion Weeks so far this year. Boxy shoulder pads, silk pajamas, and tight dresses are just some of the looks you’ll be seeing more of this year.

The trend that dominated runways throughout last year is still going strong this year as well, with designers like Gucci putting their spin on it by adding sheer panels to halter neck tops and long skirts with frayed hems.

White sneakers are currently trending with both men’s and women’s fashion, so this is something you should keep in mind when shopping for the new year. From over-the-knee suede boots to sleek Chelsea boots, they all go great with white shoes, so no matter what style of boot you’re wearing, chances are your shoes will be white as well.

The 1990s Inspired Maxi Dresses

Huge flounces on sleeves, cotton candy colors, and bold patterns became extremely popular last year, and these 90s inspired maxi dresses will continue being popular throughout this year as well. This trend is another one that has been dominating runways, and it’s certainly here to stay. Velvet was one of this year’s biggest trends, with the likes of Gucci, Prada, and Valentino dominating runways throughout Spring/Summer 2022. Although velvet can come in all different styles and patterns, it’s usually associated with being plush, warm, and rich, so you’ll be seeing a lot more luxury pieces made out of velvet, especially during wintertime.
